Dublin Guide

The city of Dublin is a historical and contemporary cultural centre, it is also the largest city and capital of Ireland.

Dublin is home to Irelands sports such as gaelic football, rugby union and hurling. It is also the headquarters of the governing body for Rugby Union and International Rugby Board (IRB). Dublin has been selected as the Eurpean Capital of Sport in 2010.

Dublin is also home to the largest national park in the country, with visitors being attracted to the park because of the wide range of its leisure activities from climbing to walking and cycling or watersports such as canoeing and angling so there is something for everyone.

The city also comes to life after dark with many popular pubs and nightlife available throughout the city. One of the most popular pubs in Dublin is the ‘Prince of Wales’ which features the longest bar in the city and offers a full range of ales and other drinks, but expect a crowd as it is normally packed.

Dublin is also a great place to eat out with a thriving restaurant scene and some great locally owned restaurants, such as The Stage Door Restaurant where you will find a warm friendly service and a great menu with something for everyone and a reasonably priced wine list to boot.

So why not come and see for yourself what Dublin has to offer and you will not be disappointed.
